You need someone that matches your personality and the vibe you are trying to go for. You may ask for samples of their work or ask them to perform for you if you are uncertain. These meetings will also give you the opportunity to discuss the necessary components and sign a contract on the agreed terms. You should also discuss the timelines of the event and inform them about any playlist or requests you may have for that night. I can’t stress the importance of hiring a professional DJ. Do your research, spend an extra bill or two if you need to. Do NOT cheap out on the music.
